David Clark

David Clark graduated in 1986 from the British School of Shiatsu and the London Kushi Macrobiotic Institute. Post completing his tenure he went onto work with some of the most experienced shiatsu and macrobiotic teachers in the world, including Waitaru Ohashi and Michio Kushi, a founding father of macrobiotics.

On returning to New Zealand, David established the New Zealand School of Shiatsu in Queen Street, Auckland, teaching shiatsu and macrobiotic cooking. With organic foods at the time in short supply, David pioneered the supply and distribution of organic foods to homes and supermarkets throughout New Zealand, culminating in publishing his landmark book ‘Inspiring Organics’ with Penguin publishers.

David has become a recognised leader in holistic science and nutrition. David believes in transformational methodologies for body, mind and spiritual practice. This very experience and insight has contributed to his drive to see community and societal change and promote sounder, more accountable, cooperative values inside our communities.
